Motoscape Rally 2016 Day 5: Trento to Venice

Wednesday morning briefing started with team Fury Road’s announcement that Richard had proposed marriage to Samantha whilst drone filming on a mountain pass and she said Yes! What a creative couple these two are, earlier in the week they won Banger of the Year with their Mad Max themed car and costumes. The Motoscape team presented a bottle of fizz to the newly engaged couple and on behalf of all Motoscapers on Rally 2016, we wish them all the very best and a happy future together.

This day was a welcome shorter driving day and some teams chose to visit Lake Garda. Second time Motoscapers, Ian and David of Why is orange jam called marmalade with Nick and Sally of Men’s Stuff Approved had fun together hiring a boat out in to the lake. It was full throttle for 2 hours and all for 140 euros, a bargain or what!

Also second time Motoscapers, Ian and Miriam, of Purple Predators who have come this time as a couple without their daughter; languished in the shade of a stylish Italian cafe, sipping coffee, relaxing and watching the world go by.

Other teams visited Venice and the romantic splendour of St Marks square, bridges and canals. Team The Inbetweeners enjoyed Venice so much that they decided to stay the night and so cheerio to them from us and safe journey back guys in your Jaguar. Off to see the Wizard had fun sightseeing and Scarecrow, aka as Paula, purchased a new handbag. She deserved some time out shopping from the hectic days representing her team as Challenges Queen!

Car buffs Chris and John from team Sofa Kings Low went on an Italian pilgrimage to both the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums and marvelled at the machines. However, were not tempted to take a ride out having read the paperwork small print!

The famous Mille Miglia museum was visited by Rob and Sarah from The Bee Keepers and Steve and John from Art of Cooking 3.

Day 5 was the end of the Venice Rally so the 2016 Motoscape winners were announced in the evening and are as follows:

First prize – Why Is Orange Jam called Marmalade with £800.

Runners up were: 2nd place – Pandamonium with £300 and 3rd place: Fury Road with £100

Congratulations to these three teams and well done to all who participated in the challenges.venice-winners
