Motoscape Rally 2017 – Day 5 Venice

Today was the final day for those on the Venice rally. It was potentially a very short driving day with no challenges and plenty of time to have some fun. Lake Garda was a popular choice for many teams particularly the prospect of taking a speedboat out onto the water. ‘Redneck Rollers’ bumped into ‘Time Warp’ at the lake and joined forces to race around the lake and all for 70 euros between the five of them, a bargain or what! Others experiencing the lake were ‘Team Castle’, ‘Little and Large’, ‘Kicking K’s’ and ‘Tandoby’ being just a few of many.
‘The Indlish’ chose to go to Asolo, an hour north of Venice and described as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. With amazing views they found it well worth visiting.
The Lamborghini museum was visited by ‘The Chuckle Brothers’ and ‘Somerset Stumblers’ whilst the Ferrari museum was favoured by our Yorkshire team, ‘Mirfield Monkeys’.  Also, ‘Team Goose’,  from Dublin, who availed themselves of the opportunity to drive a Ferrari on the open road; all with a DVD included. Something you’ll never forget guys!

Most of those carrying onto Prague chose to go into Venice and spend the day there, with no reason to get to the hotel early it was a late check in for many.
Shopping was on the cards for Team ‘Beon’ at the Designer retail outlet near the hotel. With their paisley dressing gowns, monacles and smoking pipes, they enjoy the finer things in life, in particular Lindor chocolate which they found in abundance!
Beon ‘The A Team’ ventured over to Verona and reported a really nice place to visit, they viewed the Romeo and Juliet balcony, but to their relief were not serenaded!

The Kiss boys from ‘Glorious but Whole’ fancied something less sedate and headed for the beach at Lido Di Jesolo where they showed the locals how to party the evening away.
Alas this was the end for the Venice Motoscapers and at the presentation evening it was time to announce the winners following 3 days of challenges. In 3rd place was ‘Rushden Riders’ who very generously donated their £75 prize money to ‘Skotsky Czechmates’ on behalf of their charity ‘CHAS’ a Scottish children’s charity, 2nd was ‘The Bandits’ and taking first place were our female team, Kat and Karly from ‘Kicking K’s’ – go girls!
Kiccking winnerWe also had the pleasure of a surprise visit from former Motoscapers David and Ian who came on Motoscape Rally in 2015 and 2016. They’d turned up to see some other Motoscape friends and enjoyed the last night meal with everyone.
