Motoscape 2013: Day 3, Koblenz to Feldkirch

Each and every year on the Motoscape Rally, the morning after the wine festival is probably the toughest one for most of the teams to attend! But despite a late night for some, all the teams made it to the morning briefing and eager to find out what was in store for the day.

Today we were driving from Koblenz to Feldkirch in Austria which is approximately 325 miles, and it’s one of the longer drives on the rally, but it gives teams plenty of chances to visit some amazing places en-route to Austria.

Motoscape 2013: Day 2, St Omer to Koblenz

After a fabulous first day and night in St Omer, it was time for the teams to get down to business and start the Motoscape 2013 challenges! Today we were travelling from St Omer to Koblenz in Germany. The morning started with the briefing, outlining the day ahead, before everybody started their first real day of driving on the right hand side of the road. Also the teams were able to drive the Nürburgring, definitely something to tick off any worthwhile bucket list!

Motoscape 2013: Day 1, St Omer

WOW! What a start to Motoscape 2013! Definitely the best bangers and fancy dress outfits we have ever seen, which made yesterday a great start to what is going to be a brilliant week. Registration opened at mid-day and as the teams arrived one by one, there was a great buzz of excitement going round as everyone admired the bangers coming in to dock! The sun was shining and the variety of cars and creativity made a fantastic spectacle!

As well as the registration process there was a few extra twists to this years rally. Ian and Chris from team ‘Make a Wish’ were raising money with a selection of drinks on offer in exchange for a donation to Motoscape’s nominated charity Make a Wish Foundation. John, Steven, Patrick and Gregg from West Lothian College ran a tyre changing competition; again for Make a Wish Foundation and in total over £300 was raised, a great effort!
